the United States citizens or permanent residents

Young Playwrights Program

Eligibility - Ages 18 to 25

An early exposure to the craft of playwrighting allows the emerging artist to develop a life long passion for Film & Theatre.

Advanced Course - 20 hours (1 month or 2-months programs are available)

Admission: $399

  • Weekly lessons with the OFTF Playwright or Film Professional
    (Assignments shall be based on a student's individual portfolio)
  • Lectures and Seminars on Specific Production Topics 
  • Attendance of a featured Play Production at The O'Neill Film and Theatre Festival

Intermediate Course - 10 hours

Admission: $199

  • Weekly lessons with the OFTF Playwright or Film Professional
  • Weekly passes to Theatre Seminars taught by the industry professionals
  • Acting classes

Continuing Education

Course for Dedicated Adults

Eligibility - Ages 35 and up

Admission: Varies course by course

The OFTF also recognizes the importance of theater as a life long philosophy. Adults with passion and dedication will have the opportunity to further honing their playwrighting skills with the encouraging faculty members at the OFTF.
